After a year on insects and two months on fish our vet suggested hydrolyzed fish protein from another company for options. She did terrible on HP and we quickly came back to insects! Save and reliable, consistent and extremely well digested!

He doesn’t look excited but we always are. This has been the only food Hank has eaten consistently. If I switch, itching happens almost instantly. He’s a sensitive French bulldog! We switch up the two flavours. I recommend this brand to everyone we know. Thanks for feeding my dog!!

I am using the kibbles to train him as well.
He seems to like it. I am using the auto feed machine and he never forget meal times.

Love the product was difficult to find as don’t see it in stores. Pet food store recommended ai go online and was great having it delivered. With a dog that has allergies this is a great product she doesn’t react to!

My dogs seem to enjoy the food. I have four dogs, all rescues, different shapes and sizes. Two of them have food sensitivities and another of them needs extra fiber. This food seems to check all the boxes. I love that it's made in Quebec and from a friendly source of protein, easier on the environment. My dog Cheeo, a Pomchi, is such a fussy eater that we were at our wits end in feeding him. He doesn’t like chicken, lamb, beef or any other animal meat. BUT along came Wilder Harrier with their amazing combination of bugs and Cheeo likes it. At first it sounded kind of weird, fly eggs, but it’s not. Elles peuvent aussi être causées ou aggravées par des facteurs environnementaux (pollen, acariens, herbe, produits ménagers, etc.). Nikki continue to do well on her food. We never solved allergies problem but we are sticking to this food. Now that is very cold she is well protected, her fur is thick and keeps her warm.

My dog has an allergy it seems to everything. She has responded well to eating this food. Her skin and coat are doing well now. I have tried other insect diet food for my dog when I couldn't get the Wilder Harrier food and she had reactions to the competitors food but never the Wilder Harrier food. As a vegan person, when I adopted my dog I looked far and long for a food I would feel comfortable feeding my new companion. I settled on this cpd because of its hypoallergenic properties (my dog has excessive tearing), because it was local, and because it transom a waste product into protein with the help of bugs. My chihuahua has been on this food for about a couple of years now and her skin issues are gone. I knew she was allergic to chicken but I think she must have developed an allergy to all meat in dog foods. The vet’s answer to her itching was to bathe her in some special shampoo on a regular basis. After I switched her food to Wild Harrier her skin issues started to heal and all her fur grew back. After about 6 months she looked like her ‘young’ self again. She’s 15 soon. I soak each meal in water because she has no teeth. I love this company! It saved my dog!!

Pepi and Sadie have never looked better since they started eating Wilder Harrier dog food. Pepi has a protein allergy, so I went through the trial and error of finding a food that would not cause an itchy skin reaction. Both dogs are leaner and much more energetic. This food has been an amazing, high protein game changer for my dogs. They love opening the box when it gets delivered to the house. They love all of the healthy treats and come running when I shake the bag. Of all of the dog foods which we have tried, this is by far the best.

It's hard to tell if her itching lessen tho, maybe a bit. I am going to keep her on it for a year as a part of our program to rotate protein every 12 months.

Are flies safe to eat?
Yes, 100%. We use quality-controlled, dehydrated black soldier fly powder and oils—no fly swatters involved. Flies are extremely resistant to bacteria and because ours are farmed, they're free of parasites. In fact, there’s fewer traces of salmonella in farmed insects than chicken. Where do the flies come from?
We get our black soldier flies from a variety of insect farms in Quebec, British Columbia, and parts of Europe. We strive to source most of the ingredients for our products from local suppliers, with 90%+ coming from Canada and the U.S.
Don't dogs have to eat meat?
Contrary to popular belief dogs aren’t carnivores. They’re omnivores. Their natural diet consists of a wide variety of plant and animal nutrient sources, including meat and protein-rich insects. They may be weird, but insects are classified as animal-based protein just like meat and chicken—plus, dogs find them delicious.
What is the shelf life?
Each bag of food has a “best before” date printed on the bag. You’ll always have at least 12 months of shelf life upon delivery for adult recipes, and at least 8 months for puppy recipes.
